PT Integrasi may win KPU's IT tender

JAKARTA: The General Elections Commission (KPU) announced on Monday that one firm and two consortium qualified for the last stage of a tender to provide information technology (IT) infrastructures for next year's elections.

The two consortium are PT Integrasi Technology which has quoted Rp 152.72 billion (US$18.2 million) and PT Berca Hardaya Perkasa, Rp 155.54 billion. The only firm in contention, PT Asaba Computer Center, quoted Rp 164.25 billion.

"We will pick the winner within one or two days. A firm offering the lowest price is not guaranteed to emerge the winner as price will only account for 20 percent of the total score, while technical specifications will account for 80 percent," Basuki Suhardiman, member of the IT tender expert team, said.

The KPU member in charge of the IT tender, Chusnul Mar'iyah, said PT Integrasi had the greatest chance of winning as it offered the best technical specification at the lowest price.

PT Asaba and the consortium under PT Berca had qualified for the previous tender but with higher quotes. The first tender was annulled as no bidder met with the ceiling price set by KPU. -- JP
