PT HK offers 50% discount for MSMEs selling at Bengkulu Toll Rest Area
PT Hutama Karya (HK) is offering discounts of up to 50% for micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs) to sell at the rest area on the Bengkulu-Taba Penanjung Toll Road in Bengkulu Province.
“If there is interest, we can also provide rental discounts. Previously, there was a discount of up to 50% for a certain period,” said the Head of the Sumbagsel Region of PT Hutama Karya, Operations and Maintenance Division, Arief Yeri Krisnanto, in Bengkulu City on Monday.
This is being done because out of the total 34 tenant units available at the rest area at KM 5 A and B, only three units are occupied.
Therefore, the company is very open to opportunities for MSMEs to join, as the occupancy rate in the Bengkulu-Taba Penanjung Toll area is still low.
Arief stated that HK offers relatively affordable rental rates of Rp900,000 per month, and with this policy, it is hoped to attract interest from local business actors to utilise the available facilities.
Meanwhile, traffic activity on the Bengkulu-Taba Penanjung Toll Road has increased, with the peak recorded on 24 March at 5,893 vehicles per day, higher than the same period last year.
“HK views this condition as an opportunity to increase the attractiveness of the rest area through the presence of MSMEs. With a wider variety of business options, it is hoped that toll road users will be more interested in stopping to rest,” he said.
It is known that the Bengkulu-Taba Penanjung toll road section is 17 kilometres long and is part of the development of the Trans-Sumatra Toll Road in the Bengkulu region.
On the other hand, regarding the construction of the toll road from Bengkulu to Kepahiang, its continuation has not yet been confirmed.
