Jakarta, VIVA – People planning to establish a limited liability company (PT), particularly one with large capital, will need to prepare for higher costs from August 2026. The government has officially revised the tariffs for Non-Tax State Revenue (PNBP) for various services under the Ministry of Law, including PT establishment fees.

The change is governed by Government Regulation (PP) Number 30 of 2026 on the Types and Tariffs of Non-Tax State Revenue applicable at the Ministry of Law. The new regulation was signed by President Prabowo Subianto on 2 July 2026 and will come into force on 1 August 2026, or 30 days after its promulgation.

One of the most significant changes in the regulation is the increased tariff for establishing a limited liability company (PT) with large capital.

Fee for Establishing a Large-Capital PT Rises to Rp5 Million

Under the latest rules, the fee for establishing a PT with capital above Rp5 billion is set at Rp5 million per application.

This is an increase from the previous tariff of Rp1.5 million. Applicants must therefore pay an additional Rp3.5 million, a rise of around 233 per cent.

Meanwhile, based on a comparison of the nominal increase, the fee rises by approximately Rp3.9 million to reach Rp5 million, as set out in the new provisions.

This increase represents the largest change compared to other PT establishment tariff categories, which remain unchanged.

Tariffs for Small and Medium-Capital PTs Unchanged

Although the establishment fee for large-capital PTs has increased, the government has not changed the cost of establishing companies with smaller capital.

The details are as follows:

  • PT with authorised capital of up to Rp25 million: Rp300,000 per application.

  • PT with authorised capital of more than Rp25 million up to Rp1 billion: Rp600,000 per application.

  • PT with capital above Rp5 billion: Rp5 million per application.

Thus, the tariff increase only applies to the large-capital PT establishment category as stipulated in PP Number 30 of 2026.

Articles of Association Amendment Fees Also Adjusted

In addition to PT establishment fees, the government has also adjusted the tariff for services related to amendments to a company’s articles of association.

For amendments to the articles of association without a change to the company’s name, the tariff rises from Rp1 million to Rp1.1 million.
