JAKARTA - The investigation into the alleged fraud and embezzlement in the funding distribution by PT Dana Syariah Indonesia (PT DSI) continues. Investigators have seized several assets and examined dozens of witnesses to uncover the flow of funds and potential losses to victims. “So far, we have examined nearly 90 witnesses, traced around 80 accounts, and seized several assets in the form of land, buildings, and others valued at nearly Rp 300 billion,” said Susatyo on Sunday (5/4/2026). The seizures also include 683 land certificates (SHM/SHGB) and vehicles. He emphasised that the number of suspects in this case could still increase as the investigation progresses. “It certainly won’t stop here. Not just with the three suspects whom we have already detained,” he stated. The three have been detained. Meanwhile, another suspect with initials AS, who is the founder and former Director of PT DSI for the period 2018–2024, has not yet been detained. “Next week, we will detain the other suspect,” said Susatyo. With the series of witness examinations and asset seizures, investigators hope the case handling process can deliver justice for the victims who are lenders. “We hope the seized assets continue to increase so they can fulfil a sense of justice for the victims. We are serious in handling this case and are striving to accelerate the resolution process,” he stressed. Investigators are also continuing to coordinate with the Witness and Victim Protection Agency (LPSK), the Financial Services Authority (OJK), and the Prosecutor’s Office to ensure comprehensive case handling. This case is expected to serve as a lesson for the public to be more wary of potential fraud disguised as investments.
