PT Danantara Becomes the National SDA Export Gateway

Mili.id— The government under the leadership of Prabowo Subianto has officially formed a state-owned enterprise (BUMN) dedicated to exports named PT Danantara Sumber Daya Indonesia. The presence of this state-owned company is touted as a ‘single gateway’ for national natural resource exports to strengthen foreign exchange oversight and curb trading manipulation practices.

The announcement was delivered at a press conference for the Macro Economic Framework and the Main Policy Principles of the 2027 RAPBN (KEMPPKF) at the Parliament Complex, Jakarta, on Wednesday, 20 May 2026.

‘The Minister of Investment/Head of BKPM has formed PT Danantara Sumber Daya Indonesia,’ said Airlangga.

Through this new policy, exports of strategic commodities such as palm oil, coal, and ferro alloys must be conducted through the state-owned enterprises designated by the government as sole exporters. The system is expected to strengthen state control over export flows while preventing leakage of export earnings.

‘We do not want our revenue to be the lowest because we are not willing to manage our own nation’s assets,’ Prabowo asserted.
