PT Cikarang Listrindo Tbk Secures Two Green PROPER Awards Again, Demonstrating Sustainability Commitment
PT Cikarang Listrindo Tbk (the Company) has once again received two Green PROPER ratings from the Ministry of Environment. The awards were given to the Jababeka PLTGU power plant unit and the Babelan Co-firing PLTU for their environmental management performance in 2025. The Company has achieved this Green PROPER rating since the operational year 2021 for PLTGU Jababeka and 2024 for PLTU Co-firing Babelan.
This achievement demonstrates the Company’s commitment to implementing sustainability practices that go beyond regulatory standards, including various initiatives aligned with Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) principles.
The Company Performance Rating Programme in Environmental Management (PROPER) is a national evaluation programme organised by the Ministry of Environment to assess companies’ environmental management performance in Indonesia. In the 2025 assessment year, the programme was participated in by more than 5,300 companies from various industrial sectors across Indonesia, with 282 companies successfully achieving Green or Gold ratings.
The Green PROPER rating is awarded to companies that not only comply with all environmental regulations but also exceed compliance standards (beyond compliance) through innovation and the implementation of sustainable environmental management practices.
The Company’s achievement of Green PROPER is the result of hard work and collaboration among all company components and stakeholders. This achievement reflects the Company’s commitment to maintaining regulatory compliance while strengthening environmental management practices and collaboration with communities around the Company’s operational facilities.
The Company implements various sustainable community empowerment programmes through four main pillars: social-economic, education, health, and environment, carried out in each of the Company’s operational areas. In addition to encouraging community economic independence through various business development and food security programmes, the Company also strengthens community capacity to face disaster risks through community-based disaster mitigation programmes.
These initiatives are part of the implementation of beyond compliance principles in PROPER, where the Company not only meets environmental regulatory obligations but also creates sustainable social and environmental added value for the community.
“This Green PROPER achievement is a recognition of the Company’s commitment to conducting responsible operations towards the environment and society. Moving forward, we will continue to strengthen the implementation of sustainability principles through operational innovations, energy efficiency improvements, and the development of more environmentally friendly energy sources,” said Company Secretary Rani Maheswari.
As part of its commitment to good corporate governance and transparency to stakeholders, the Company consistently publishes its Annual Report and Sustainability Report every year.
The reports contain various company performance achievements, including the development of ESG implementation reported as of 31 March 2026.
In the 2025 Sustainability Report, the Company shares various achievements in sustainable energy development. Among them, the utilisation of biomass as part of the energy transition strategy produced clean energy of 205 GWh, an increase of 155.5% compared to 2024, and the solar power plant (PLTS) capacity increased to 45.7 MWp (2024: 35.8 MWp) with electricity production reaching 46.3 GWh (2024: 32.0 GWh).
Thus, the total renewable energy produced by the Company in 2025 reached 251.5 GWh, an increase of 123.9% compared to 2024 at 112.3 GWh.
