PT CDS Asia Electronics Penetrates US Market via First Solar-Powered Lamp Export

PT CDS Asia Electronics has recorded its first export of solar-powered garden lamps, consisting of 12,152 cartons, to the United States with an export value reaching $252,016.56. The export handover took place at the PT CDS Asia Electronics production facility in Tambakaji, Semarang, on Thursday (1/10/2026).

The Head of the Semarang Customs Office, Budi Prasetiyo, expressed appreciation for this achievement and hopes that this initial export serves as a starting point for the company to expand its market and increase production capacity.

“This first export proves that Bonded Zone facilities are capable of accelerating the smoothness of industrial and export activities. We hope this achievement is the first step for the company to continue expanding its market reach and increasing production capacity,” said Budi.

PT CDS Asia Electronics was established in December 2020 as part of the ALPAN Group in Indonesia and operates in the solar lighting manufacturing sector. The company is part of the ALPAN Group’s relocation of production activities from China to Indonesia, with an investment value reaching $14 million.

In conducting its production activities, PT CDS Asia Electronics implements an integrated manufacturing system and a Quality Management System. The company currently employs approximately 2,200 local workers in the Semarang region.

Semarang Customs also supports the company’s industrial and export activities through Bonded Zone facilities, including customs facilitation and assistance for business actors. This maiden export is expected to drive increased production and market expansion for Indonesian solar lighting products, while simultaneously contributing to both regional and national economies.
