PT Bumi Serpong Damai Tbk Receives FORTUNE Indonesia - Change the World Award for Sustainable ESG Implementation
PT Bumi Serpong Damai Tbk (BSDE) has achieved recognition at the FORTUNE Indonesia Summit 2026, which featured the themes of Integrated, Elevated, and Empowered. These themes reflect the company’s maturity in corporate governance, innovation, and the empowerment of human resources and communities. During the event, the “FORTUNE Indonesia - Change the World” award was presented to companies that have successfully implemented Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) programmes in a sustainable manner whilst delivering positive impact to stakeholders. The award was presented by Hendra Soeprajitno, Editor-in-Chief of Fortune Indonesia, and received by Ricardo Arif Dharmawan, Corporate Secretary of BSDE, on 12 February 2026 at The Westin Hotel, Jakarta.
The FORTUNE Indonesia - Change the World assessment was based on several criteria, including social impact aspects measured by the scope, nature, and impact generated by the company regarding specific social issues; business results, namely the benefits realised by both the company and stakeholders; innovation impact, the extent to which initiatives influence and inspire others or the industry; and integration, how initiatives become part of company values and are implemented sustainably.

Communities are empowered through several programmes including School Development, Literacy Development, Village Development, Business Development, Market Go Digital, and Local Agriculture Partnership programmes.
School Development and Literacy Development programmes are implemented through various activities including teacher capacity enhancement, educational support, school assistance, student capacity improvement through social entrepreneurship classes, canvas painting and digitisation classes, early childhood education support (PASP), and parental development for PASP students, as well as regular educational programme mentoring in South Tangerang and Tangerang Regency.
The Local Agriculture Partnership programme is implemented through agricultural cultivation in partnership with local farmers in Rumpin District, Bogor Regency. This programme creates not only economic impact but also environmental preservation efforts, based on environmentally friendly agriculture principles (sustainable farming) and food security oriented towards sustainability using organic fertilisers and natural pesticides. Since 2022 to 2025, 317 local farmers in Rumpin District, Bogor have joined this programme, which has tangibly improved their welfare.
Since 2014, BSDE has also operated several programmes to support MSMEs, including the SML UMKM Centre, MSME Festival, and MSME Market Go Digital programme. The SML UMKM Centre has become a training and development hub that provides business development facilities such as training, MSME clinics, MSME galleries, digital marketing sites, exhibitions, and product promotion and marketing from supported MSMEs, having trained more than 400 MSME practitioners in the greater Tangerang area. Meanwhile, the MSME Market Go Digital programme at BSD City Modern Market involves 809 MSME practitioners and aims to help traditional market MSMEs adapt to the digital era.
