PT Berdikari is taking concrete steps in developing its Integrated Chicken Downstreaming (HAT) project. This time, PT Berdikari went directly to the field to monitor the progress of the HAT project in Malang.

This proactive step demonstrates PT Berdikari’s commitment to preparing a solid foundation for an integrated national poultry industry, from upstream to downstream.

During the visit, Director of Breeding, Dr. Ir. Hari Suhada, S.Pt, M.Si., IPU, along with a team of experts consisting of Dr. drh. Trioso Purnawarman, M.Si and Ir. Sahrul, were present. Their focus was on aligning the Feasibility Study (FS) and site plan with the actual conditions on the ground.

The technical recommendations from this team of experts will serve as the main basis to ensure that the project runs precisely, measurably, and in accordance with applicable regulations. Thus, the HAT project is projected to be a new pillar for national food security based on animal protein.

President Director of PT Berdikari, Maryadi, said that this initiative is a major effort by the company to form a strong and integrated livestock ecosystem.

“Through the HAT project, we want to strengthen the independence of the national poultry industry while also increasing the productivity of small farmers and strengthening the independence of the national poultry industry through a mutually connected ecosystem from upstream to downstream,” said Maryadi in a statement on Saturday, May 16, 2026.

The vision pursued by PT Berdikari is in line with the central government’s agenda. The HAT project is expected to accelerate national food self-sufficiency as mandated by Presidential Instruction Number 2 of 2026.

In addition, the project’s management is also adjusted to the standards of good business practices as outlined in Minister of Agriculture Regulation Number 34 of 2025.

Furthermore, this integration project is also prepared as a strategic step to support the sustainability of the Free Nutritious Food Program, to ensure equitable fulfillment of animal protein needs for all Indonesian people.

In line with this, General Manager Corporate Secretary & SR PT Berdikari, AS. Hasbi Al-Islahi, ensured that the entire rhythm of project development from the beginning to the end is closely monitored.

“PT Berdikari is increasingly committed to ensuring that every stage of the HAT Project runs optimally, from planning, construction, to implementation in the field, so that it can have a real impact on small farmers and national food self-sufficiency,” said Hasbi.
