PT Barata Indonesia (Persero) has completed the manufacture of two pressure vessel units for a fertiliser plant component on the PT Pupuk Sriwijaya III B project.

“The pressure vessels will be operated in the development (extensification) project for the Pusri III B plant,” said Director of PT Barata Indonesia (Persero) Hertyoso Nursasongko in Gresik on Friday.

The development project aims to increase energy efficiency, support more environmentally friendly operations, and strengthen national food security through increased fertiliser production capacity and reliability.

Hertyoso stated that the completion of this work reaffirms the company’s commitment to supporting infrastructure development of the National Strategic Project (PSN) through the provision of high-quality and competitive domestic manufactured products.

“Barata Indonesia continues to carry out state-owned enterprise transformation through the provision of globally standard manufactured products, competitive advantages, and added value for national development,” he said.

Beyond maintaining international quality standards and retaining American Society of Mechanical Engineers (ASME) “U” Stamp certification, Barata Indonesia has also consistently encouraged increases in the Domestic Component Level (TKDN) during production processes.

This commitment was demonstrated by achieving a TKDN level of 38.77 per cent on the pressure vessel product as part of efforts to increase the contribution of the national manufacturing industry in the strategic project supply chain.
