PT Asuransi Tri Pakarta Inaugurates Shariah Business Unit as a Separate Entity, PT Asuransi Tri Pakarta Syariah

PT Asuransi Tri Pakarta has officially announced the formal establishment of its Shariah Business Unit as a standalone entity under the name PT Asuransi Tri Pakarta Syariah. This strategic move reflects the company’s commitment to strengthening the national Shariah insurance industry and supporting the growth of the Islamic finance ecosystem in Indonesia. The spin-off is conducted as part of regulatory requirements and the company’s long-term strategy to deliver Shariah-based insurance services that are more focused, innovative, and competitive. As a standalone entity, PT Asuransi Tri Pakarta Syariah is expected to improve corporate governance, broaden market penetration, and deliver greater added value to participants and business partners. CEO Herry Triyatno described the spin-off as an important milestone in the company’s journey. “This spin-off is not only a regulatory obligation but also a demonstration of our seriousness in developing Shariah insurance business in a more targeted and sustainable manner. We are optimistic that PT Asuransi Tri Pakarta Syariah will grow stronger and contribute significantly to Indonesia’s national Shariah insurance industry,” he said. As a new entity, PT Asuransi Tri Pakarta Syariah will uphold Shariah principles such as justice, transparency, and mutual support in all operations and services to participants. The company will also strengthen product innovation, digital transformation, and strategic collaboration with various partners to widen access to Shariah insurance services. On this occasion, the company launched the Himaya Personal Insurance product, a comprehensive personal accident insurance product that can be tailored to clients’ needs with added features including fire coverage, loss/damage of personal belongings, and income loss risk. PT Asuransi Tri Pakarta Syariah is owned by PT Asuransi Tri Pakarta, which forms part of the Financial Conglomerate Holding Company (PIKK) of PT Bank Negara Indonesia (Persero) Tbk., at 99.42%, and Koperasi Jasa Tripa at 0.58%. The shareholders of PT Asuransi Tri Pakarta consist of BNI Pension Fund at 62.90%, PT Asuransi Wahana Tata at 25.00%, and PT Tri Handayani Utama at 12.10%.
