PSSI Confirms Pakansari Stadium Ready for 2026 ASEAN Championship

The Football Association of Indonesia (PSSI) has confirmed that Pakansari Stadium in Cibinong, Bogor, is ready to serve as the home ground for the Indonesian national team during the 2026 ASEAN Championship. “We visited Pakansari Stadium directly. Here, we certainly assessed the stadium’s readiness,” said PSSI Secretary-General Yunus Nusi after inspecting the stadium on Tuesday. The ASEAN Championship 2026 will take place from 24 July to 26 August 2026, using a home-and-away format. Indonesia, managed by John Herdman, is in Group A alongside Vietnam, Singapore, Cambodia, and Timor Leste. Pakansari Stadium will be the base for the Garuda Squad for two home matches. Indonesia is scheduled to host Cambodia on 27 July and face Vietnam on 3 August. The match against Vietnam coincides with the PSSI Annual Congress at the Fairmont Hotel, Jakarta, and all congress participants will be invited to watch the match live. “Today we have reviewed the preparations, particularly the condition of the stadium pitch. Alhamdulillah, thank you to the Bogor Regent, the Head of the Bogor Regency Youth and Sports Office, the Pakansari Stadium Management Board, and colleagues from Garudayaksa,” Yunus said. He added that readiness also extends to several training pitches that will be used by the championship participants. “Pakansari Stadium and several training pitches are in a condition ready for use when we later receive guests from several countries for the implementation of the ASEAN Championship,” Yunus stated.
