PSM supporters barred from attending Malut United vs PSM Makassar
Ternate (ANTARA) - The Local Organising Committee (LOC) for the Liga 1 match in the 2025/2026 season has issued an advisory regarding the fixture between Malut United FC and PSM Makassar, scheduled for 7 March 2026 at Gelora Kie Raha Stadium, Ternate City, North Maluku. Abdul Mauridz Tuguis, the head of the LOC, told reporters on Thursday that away supporters are not allowed to attend the stadium in person to support their team during the match. The ban is imposed under Article 5(7) of the Regulations of the Super League 2025/2026, and Article 141 of the PSSI Disciplinary Code (2023), in addition to considering recommendations from security authorities. Mauridz said the policy is a preventive measure to ensure the match proceeds safely, orderly, and in a conducive spirit for all involved. “We, as the match organising committee, announce that away supporters are barred from attending the stadium to support their team in person,” Mauridz said in his official statement. He explained that the decision is part of efforts to ensure the smooth running of the match and to create a sportsmanlike atmosphere. The committee also asked the management of PSM Makassar to inform all supporter communities, both official and unofficial, to avoid misunderstandings on the field. “Coordination with the club is crucial so that this information can be conveyed to all supporter communities,” he said. Mauridz emphasised that violations of the rule could be sanctioned against the club involved in accordance with applicable regulations. The committee hopes all parties understand and comply with the policy to maintain security and the smooth running of the match. “We hope this advisory will be observed for the common good,” he concluded. The match between Malut United FC and PSM Makassar is expected to attract significant attention from football fans in North Maluku, given that it is one of the important fixtures in the continuation of the Liga 1 Indonesia 2025/2026 season.
