PSM beats Persema 1-0

MAKASSAR, SOUTH SULAWESI: PSM managed a narrow 1-0 win over
Persema Malang in their Indonesian League soccer match at the
Matoangin Stadium here on Thursday night.

The only goal was scored by Miro Baldo Bento in the second
half off of a penalty shot to end its drought in the previous
matches.

The two teams were involved in a tight match. They both
managed to create chances but could not convert them into a goal
until the 75th minute.

PSM was awarded the penalty shot following a foul by Sugeng
Budiarso on Bento. The East Timorese star took the shot himself,
sending goalkeeper Rahman Saleh the opposite way and easily
putting into the back of the net. --JP
