Yogyakarta – The Central Executive Board (DPP) of the Indonesian Solidarity Party (PSI), through its Fraksi Development and Legislative Members Division, has distributed social assistance to children at the Sasana Kreatif Mandiri Orphanage in Yogyakarta. The aid provided is part of the “Gajah Peduli” programme, serving as a demonstration of concern for children’s welfare and PSI’s commitment to supporting community social activities. During the event, PSI DPP Chairman Melky Jakhin Pangemanan, along with Director of Fraksi Development and Legislative Members Kevin Wu, accompanied by DPW officials and PSI Yogyakarta DPRD members, handed over assistance including Qurans, prayer mats, basic necessities, and equipment needed by the orphanage children. In addition to delivering the aid, Melky interacted directly with the children, sharing stories and offering motivation for them to remain enthusiastic in their studies and pursue their aspirations. “Children are the hope of the nation’s future. We all have a responsibility to ensure they grow up well, receive proper education, and get sufficient attention,” Melky stated on Friday, 30 April 2026. He affirmed that PSI will continue to be present among the community through various social programmes that directly address citizens’ needs, especially for vulnerable groups. Meanwhile, the management of Sasana Kreatif Mandiri Orphanage conveyed their appreciation for the attention and assistance provided, hoping it will help fulfil the children’s daily requirements. This activity is expected to inspire various parties to continue fostering a spirit of sharing and increasing care for others.
