PSIM’s Home Match Against PSM to Be Played Behind Closed Doors
Jakarta (ANTARA) – PSIM Yogyakarta’s home match against PSM Makassar in the fifth week of the 2026/27 BRI Super League, at Sultan Agung Stadium in Bantul on Friday (16 October) at 3.30pm Western Indonesian Time, will be played without spectators.
The operational adjustment is necessary because the match falls close to preparations for a national event at the stadium: the third National Gathering of Jam’iyyatul Qurra’ wal Huffazh 2026, scheduled for Sunday (18 October).
PSIM Match Organising Committee (MOC) chairman Ermantino Handokomulyo said Bantul Regency Government had granted permission to use the stadium, subject to crowd restrictions to ensure the national event proceeds smoothly.
To maintain security, the organising committee will strictly secure the area from outside the stadium to Ring 1 on match day. Only teams, officials and other parties with official accreditation will be allowed into the stadium area.
“We ask all loyal PSIM supporters for their understanding and co-operation in complying with this rule. Your prayers and positive energy from home will still reach us and be the main source of strength for Laskar Mataram on the pitch,” Ermantino said.
Laskar Mataram are currently in the relegation zone, in 16th place, having earned just one point from four matches.
PSM are directly above PSIM in 15th place, with two points.
