PSI Spokesperson Confirms NasDem Cadres Joining PSI, Who Are They?

Spokesperson for the Central Executive Board of the Indonesian Solidarity Party (PSI), I Putu Yoga Saputra, has confirmed reports of NasDem Party cadres planning to join PSI. Yoga stated that the identities of these cadres will be announced in the near future.

“Yes, yes, there are several from what you mentioned (NasDem). There are also some who will soon join from others—do I need to mention? We’ll leave it as a surprise,” said Yoga to reporters at the PSI Central Executive Board office in Jakarta on Thursday (16/4/2026).

Yoga explained that currently, many prominent figures at both local and national levels are beginning to align with PSI. This, he continued, is in line with what was conveyed by PSI Board of Trustees Secretary, Grace Natalie.

“That’s right. As mentioned yesterday during the consolidation with Ms Grace, there will be many more figures joining PSI. Of course, all of that requires a process and time,” he stated.

He added that the backgrounds of these figures who will join are very diverse. However, Yoga declined to provide further details on the originating parties of these figures.

“It’s all sorts of colours, basically,” he remarked.

Yoga said PSI is awaiting the right moment to announce these new cadres. For national figures, he indicated there will be a special introduction session.

“If we’re talking about local figures, we’ve already started netting quite a few. For national figures, we’ll gradually announce them in the future. We might create a special session for the announcement later,” he concluded.
