PSI Secretary General Appreciates Rismon's Acknowledgement of Jokowi's Authentic Certificate: Others Should Repent Soon
The Secretary General of Solidarity Indonesia Party (PSI), Raja Juli Antoni, has responded to the announcement by researcher and digital forensics expert Rismon Sianipar, who has apologised and acknowledged the authenticity of the diploma of Indonesia’s seventh President Jokowi Widodo. Raja Juli believes the apology deserves appreciation as an exercise of citizens’ rights.
“Yes, I think what Mas Rismon has done, as a citizen, we must respect. That is a citizen’s right,” said PSI Secretary General Raja Juli Antoni at the Presidential Palace complex in Jakarta on Friday, 13 March 2026.
Raja Juli praised Rismon’s gesture of apologising directly to Jokowi and Gibran. Moreover, he noted, this occurred during the holy month of Ramadan.
“He politely apologised to the public and also to Mr Jokowi and his family. I think this is good, a good atmosphere, in a good month, on a good day, during Ramadan,” he said.
Raja Juli hopes that the controversy surrounding Jokowi’s diploma will end. Additionally, he expressed hope that other parties will cease making accusations.
“I think this is part of a good resolution of the problem and I hope that others will also soon repent,” he said.
It is known that Rismon Sianipar has stated that Jokowi’s and Gibran’s certificates are authentic. He will explain this through a book he is currently writing.
According to Antara news agency on Friday, 13 March 2026, the controversy over Jokowi’s and Gibran’s diplomas, which were previously alleged to be forged through two of Rismon’s books titled “Jokowi’s White Paper” and “Gibran End Game”, is now being contradicted by Rismon himself. He claims he has conducted further investigation.
This was conveyed by Rismon after meeting Vice President Gibran at the Vice Presidential Palace in Jakarta. Rismon also extended his apologies in person.
“Yes, authentic. Why? Based on my investigation, that’s why I said, ‘truth hurts’. Truth is painful. But what I felt was even more painful if I did not reveal it and was not honest,” said Rismon.
Rismon had previously also apologised to Jokowi. Jokowi acknowledged that he has forgiven Rismon, but has referred the matter of Rismon’s legal status to his lawyers and the police.
