PSI Says Jokowi to Begin Tour on 25 June, Lampung as First Destination

Chairman of the Indonesian Solidarity Party (PSI) Central Executive Board, Bestari Barus, has stated that the 7th President of the Republic of Indonesia, Joko Widodo (Jokowi), will begin touring Indonesia on 25 June 2026, with Lampung Province as the first destination. Bestari obtained this information after meeting Jokowi at his residence this morning.

“Yes, that was one of the things I asked about (when Jokowi will start touring Indonesia), one of the things I asked, specifically the date, and he has answered,” Bestari told reporters on Thursday (18/6/2026).

Bestari said he will accompany Jokowi on the first visit. He stressed that Jokowi will be the main figure during the visit, not PSI.

“So, God willing, I will accompany him on this particular visit. I will accompany him. He will be at the forefront, I will stay far behind, because the star of this visit is certainly Pak Jokowi,” he said.

Bestari then revealed that Jokowi will begin his tour on 25 June. The first destination, he said, is Lampung Province.

“Departing on 25 June, this coming 25 June. I depart on 25 June to start. As for Mr Jokowi, perhaps between the 25th, 26th, or 27th,” he stated.

“Yes, in Lampung, he mentioned Tulang Bawang earlier. Yes, and there are several other locations according to the plan received. So, specifically with PSI in the region,” he continued.

Bestari could not yet confirm whether PSI General Chairman Kaesang Pangarep would also accompany the visit. “Eh, I have not yet received information about who will join this inaugural visit. I am still on my way back to Jakarta,” he added.
