PSI Reports Strong Public Enthusiasm in Lampung for Jokowi's Visit
Solidarity Party (PSI) in Lampung Province has confirmed its readiness to welcome the seventh President of Indonesia, Joko Widodo (Jokowi), whose visit to Bumi Ruwa Jurai is planned for 26-28 June. The trip is seen as fulfilling both an official invitation and the public’s desire for a leader credited with significant regional development contributions.
Achmad Ridho Julian, Chairman of PSI Lampung Provincial Board, stated that all levels of the party, from Provincial Board (DPW) to District (DPD), Subdistrict (DPC), and Branch (DPRt) levels, are prepared to collaborate with Jokowi’s and Gibran’s volunteer groups to support the President’s agenda in Lampung.
According to Ridho, the high public enthusiasm stems from Jokowi’s extensive development record, with National Strategic Projects (PSN) now directly benefiting Lampung residents. ‘The yearning for the President arises from the various developments and attention provided during his tenure. The impact is felt across the business community and general public,’ he added.
The June visit is expected to strengthen emotional ties between Jokowi and Lampung residents. PSI considers this not merely a formal event but an opportunity for citizens to express their appreciation directly. ‘The yearning comes from all sectors experiencing tangible development impacts under President Jokowi’s leadership,’ Ridho concluded.
