PSI Remembers Try Sutrisno's Dedication: A Modest yet Firm Figure

JAKARTA - The Secretary General of the Indonesian Solidarity Party (PSI), Raja Juli Antoni, expressed condolences on the death of Indonesia’s sixth Vice President, Try Sutrisno.

According to him, Try Sutrisno was one of the nation’s figures who had rendered considerable service to the country. Therefore, his passing has left a profound sense of sorrow.

“In the name of Allah, we return to Him. We, the leadership and entire family of the Indonesian Solidarity Party, express our deepest condolences on the passing of General (Retired) Try Sutrisno. We have lost a role model,” said Raja Juli in his statement on Monday, 2 March 2026.

“He was known as a modest yet firm figure who possessed a strong commitment to national unity,” he continued.

According to Raja Juli, the spirit of service and integrity of the deceased would always serve as inspiration for all Indonesian people in continuing the nation’s journey.

“We pray that the deceased may rest peacefully, that all his faults be forgiven, that all his good deeds be accepted, and that he may find the best place beside Allah Almighty. To his surviving family, may they be granted patience and strength,” he concluded.

Previously, Try Sutrisno passed away at RSPAD Gatot Subroto on Monday morning. His body was then laid at a funeral home in the Menteng area, Central Jakarta.

The family stated that the deceased did not have any particular medical conditions that caused his death on Monday, 2 March 2026.

The funeral procession took place at the National Heroes Cemetery in Kalibata with military honours.
