PSI: Prabowo’s Silaturahmi with his predecessors mirrors inclusive leadership
Jakarta (ANTARA) – The Indonesian Solidarity Party (PSI) views the meeting between President Prabowo Subianto and the former presidents and vice-presidents of his predecessors as a reflection of leadership that is humble and inclusive.
‘The initiative to hold this Silaturahmi reflects a willingness to listen, respect for the predecessors, and a commitment to sustainable development. President Prabowo has shown that his leadership is modest and inclusive,’ said Andy Budiman, Deputy Chairman of the Central Executive Board (DPP) of PSI, in a written statement in Jakarta on Wednesday.
Andy also described the gathering as an important and beneficial moment for the country’s journey ahead.
He said the meeting also sends a message to the public that national interests are above all political differences.
‘The spirit of togetherness among these leaders, we believe, can strengthen stability, deepen public trust, and ensure that policies that are people-oriented will continue to be delivered,’ Andy added.
Finally, PSI hopes that the unity among the nation’s leaders will endure even though it is natural to have differences of opinion from time to time.
President Prabowo Subianto invited former Presidents and Vice Presidents of the Republic of Indonesia, former Foreign Ministers, and the Chairpersons of Political Parties to the meeting at the Presidential Palace on Tuesday, 3 March 2026.
Secretary of the Cabinet Teddy Indra Wijaya revealed that the gathering was organised as a cross-generational discussion space.
Among those present were Vice President Gibran Rakabuming, the 6th President Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono, the 7th President Joko Widodo, the 10th and 12th Vice Presidents Jusuf Kalla, the 11th Vice President Boediono, and the 13th Vice President Ma’ruf Amin.
