The Indonesian Solidarity Party (PSI) has begun setting political targets in Mesuji Regency, Lampung. Not only is it aiming for legislative seats in the 2029 General Election, but the party bearing the elephant symbol is also targeting victory in the executive branch. The target was conveyed by the Chairman of the PSI Mesuji Regional Executive Board, Veri Fardinalsyah, before PSI General Chairman Kaesang Pangarep during the PSI Mesuji Regional Coordination Meeting on Friday, 26 June 2026. According to Veri, the PSI organisational machinery in Mesuji continues to be strengthened. Out of the 15 villages in the area, 86 percent of the management has been registered in the PSI Information and Administration System application. With this foundation, PSI Mesuji is aiming for at least one legislative seat in every electoral district. ‘Friends in PSI Mesuji, we will secure at least one council member, one electoral district. God willing, if you all also give your blessing, we will secure the executive,’ he said. The coordination meeting was also attended by Kaesang Pangarep along with Deputy General Chairman of the PSI Central Executive Board Endang Tirtana, PSI General Treasurer Fenty Noverita, and other central board officials. During the agenda, Kaesang also witnessed the inauguration of the Regional Executive Board, Sub-district Executive Boards, and Branch Executive Boards of PSI throughout Mesuji Regency. Meanwhile, Secretary of the PSI Lampung Regional Executive Board Beni Batara assessed that the coordination meeting was an important momentum to strengthen organisational consolidation ahead of the upcoming political agenda. According to him, public enthusiasm for PSI in Lampung continues to increase, making the process of forming management down to the branch level relatively easy. ‘Because the registration or the enthusiasm or public interest in PSI is very strong, we accommodate it so that finding branch board officials is not difficult,’ said Beni. Beni hopes that all cadres will use this momentum as a step to expand PSI’s support base in Lampung. ‘Let us build PSI in Lampung as a shared home, a home that is open to young people, women, farmers, fishermen, MSME actors, workers and all elements of society,’ he said.
