PSI Lampung States Public Misses Jokowi, Ready for Late June 2026 Visit
The Lampung Regional Leadership Council of the Solidarity Party (PSI) has welcomed the planned visit of Indonesia’s seventh president, Joko Widodo, to Lampung Province in late June 2026. Achmad Ridho Julian, chairman of PSI Lampung’s regional council, stated that the visit fulfils an invitation from Lampung’s residents who maintain an emotional bond with Jokowi. ‘This longing has grown due to the various developments and attention provided during his presidency. It comes from all sectors, including government officials, customary leaders, cultural figures, Jokowi’s volunteers, Mas Gibran’s volunteers, and the general public who have directly experienced the benefits of infrastructure projects in Lampung under President Jokowi’s leadership,’ said Achmad Ridho Julian, PSI Lampung Regional Chairman, on Sunday, 31 May 2026. According to Ridho, barring any schedule changes, Jokowi will spend three days in Lampung from 26 to 28 June 2026. He emphasised that all PSI Lampung officials, from regional to local levels, are prepared to collaborate with Jokowi’s and Vice President Gibran Rakabuming Raka’s volunteers to ensure the success of the visit. ‘All PSI Lampung leadership, from the regional council down to local chapters, will collaborate with Jokowi and Mas Gibran’s volunteer groups to support and accompany all of Jokowi’s activities in Lampung,’ he added. Ridho further noted that Jokowi’s implemented development programmes have significantly benefited Lampung’s residents. ‘National strategic projects such as national roads, provincial road improvements, the Trans-Sumatra Toll Road, dam construction, agricultural infrastructure, and other development initiatives have greatly benefited Lampung’s people,’ said Achmad Ridho. He also highlighted that Jokowi has left a positive impression on Lampung’s residents. ‘President Jokowi has made a lasting positive impact in Lampung. Numerous infrastructure projects have significantly boosted economic growth, regional connectivity, and public welfare,’ he added. The planned visit is expected to serve as a moment for Jokowi to reconnect with Lampung’s residents, while also strengthening the emotional ties already established between the former president and the local community.
