PSI in Papua Pegunungan Has New Office, Kaesang Immediately Taken on a Tour
Jakarta, VIVA – The General Chairman of the Indonesian Solidarity Party (PSI), Kaesang Pangarep, visited the new office of the Papua Pegunungan Regional Leadership Council (DPW) of PSI on Saturday, 9 May 2026.
During the visit, Kaesang was accompanied by the National Treasurer of PSI, Fenty Noverita. The arrival of the central party delegation was directly welcomed by the Chairman of the DPW PSI Papua Pegunungan, Yotam Wonda, who also serves as the Deputy Regent of Tolikara.
Upon arriving at the location, Yotam immediately invited Kaesang and the PSI central executives to tour the new office while introducing the members of the DPW PSI Papua Pegunungan.
“Welcome to our honai, the honai pinishi of Papua Pegunungan. Here, it’s called a honai for the office. For working, meeting, or discussing big matters, it must be done in the honai,” said Yotam.
Yotam explained that previously, the DPW PSI Papua Pegunungan had operated from a shophouse. However, the new office is now larger than the previous one.
He also affirmed his commitment to ensuring that PSI in Papua Pegunungan would eventually have its own permanent office and no longer rent a space.
“PSI must have a permanent office and own its own building,” stated Yotam.
In addition, Yotam conveyed that he would regularly communicate with the central PSI leadership, including reporting various needs and shortcomings in party activities in the Papua Pegunungan region.
