PSI: Gibran Not Holding Open House, Family Gathering at Kaesang's Place
Secretary-General of the Indonesian Solidarity Party (PSI) Raja Juli Antoni stated that Vice President (Wapres) Gibran Rakabuming Raka is not holding an open house for Eid al-Fitr 1447 H. Raja Juli said Gibran will gather with family during the Lebaran moment in 2026.
“I have checked, there is no open house. Mas Gibran is not holding an open house, but there is a family event and gathering, seemingly at Mas Kaesang’s place, I don’t know exactly, but there is a plan for them to gather only with family, without inviting or holding an open house,” said Raja Juli Antoni after Eid prayers at Istiqlal Mosque, Central Jakarta, on Saturday (21/3/2026).
Raja Juli admitted he does not know whether the 7th President of Indonesia Joko Widodo (Jokowi) will join the open house at the Presidential Palace. Additionally, he said his side is not holding an open house.
“I have stated and announced that there will be no open house because I am giving the opportunity to all my staff, directors, and everyone in Jakarta to use this holiday for mudik. This is an extraordinary tradition,” said Raja Juli.
“Not only spiritual, but also anthropological in relation to the village or hometown. It is also part of the redistribution of wealth or assets from the city to the village. So I have indeed announced since the third day of Ramadan that there is no open house,” he added.
The Minister of Forestry (Menhut) will attend the open house at the Presidential Palace this afternoon. He and his family will pay respects to President Prabowo Subianto.
“Insyaallah we will, because I happen not to be going home for mudik either, so I’m in Jakarta. Insyaallah later, if not mistaken at 03.30 (afternoon), 15.30 Insyaallah, my family and I will pay respects and ask for forgiveness from Pak Presiden,” he said.
For information, Jokowi and his wife, Iriana, are in Jakarta. Jokowi and Iriana performed Eid prayers at the Al-Bina Gelora Bung Karno Mosque (GBK).
Meanwhile, Cabinet Secretary Teddy Indra Wijaya conveyed that the open house at the Presidential Palace, Jakarta, is being held today starting at 12.00 WIB. Teddy mentioned the capacity of the open house is up to 5,000 people.
