PSI Affirms Jokowi's Regional Visits Are Not Political Safaris
Jakarta (ANTARA) - Deputy Chair of the Indonesian Solidarity Party (PSI) Ratu Ayu Isyana Bagoes Oka has emphasised that the agenda of the 7th President of the Republic of Indonesia, Joko Widodo, in visiting several regions is not a political safari, but rather fulfilling invitations from the public. “This is not actually a political safari. It is more about how, as Pak Jokowi has conveyed, he is fulfilling various invitations from the community, including activities at the Indonesian Solidarity Party,” Isyana said at the PSI Central Executive Board office in Jakarta on Tuesday. She made the statement after attending a charity event for approximately 100 orphans from the Greater Jakarta area, organised by the PSI Central Executive Board to commemorate the Islamic New Year 1 Muharam. Isyana said Jokowi had previously stated that he is now in good health and can once again attend events to which he is invited by the community. When asked about the timing of an announcement regarding Jokowi’s position within PSI, Isyana declined to provide further details, saying, “We’ll just wait.” On the same occasion, Isyana said the party is currently focused on forming and strengthening its structure in preparation for the administrative and factual verification stages in 2027. “At the moment, PSI is focused on building its structure. That is what we are concentrating on,” she said.
