Prudential Syariah's 2025 Performance Outpaces Sharia Life Insurance Industry
Jakarta (ANTARA) - PT Prudential Sharia Life Assurance (Prudential Syariah) recorded strong business performance throughout 2025, marked by rapid growth in two key indicators: total gross contribution reached Rp4.2 trillion (up 9%). Additionally, according to President Director of Prudential Syariah Iskandar Ezzahuddin, new business contribution grew 31% to around Rp1 trillion and dominated a 22% market share in the industry. “This growth reflects the strong trust of Indonesian families in Prudential Syariah as the market leader in sharia life insurance,” he stated in his comments in Jakarta on Wednesday. From the management perspective, he continued, the company’s total assets grew 20% to Rp8 trillion, supported by the company’s portfolio strategy and reflecting disciplined business management and directed growth. Similar growth was also seen in total investment assets, which rose 17% to Rp6 trillion, demonstrating the company’s success in optimally managing participants’ funds. Iskandar added that the strength of the company’s financial foundation is also reflected in its solvency level or Risk Based Capital (RBC), which is far above regulatory requirements: the RBC for Company Funds was recorded at 1,496% and the RBC for Tabarru’ Funds at 209%. These solvency levels, he continued, serve as indicators of the company’s capacity to fulfil obligations to all participants in a trustworthy and sustainable manner. Throughout 2025, according to Iskandar, the company has paid claims and benefits totalling Rp2.2 trillion, equivalent to Rp6 billion per day, to participants or families affected by risks. In addition, he added, more than 1 million individuals have benefited from various sharia financial literacy and inclusion programmes initiated by the company in collaboration with strategic partners.
