Prudential Launches PRUMapan: A Savings Plan for Young People

JAKARTA, KOMPAS.com - PT Prudential Life Assurance (Prudential Indonesia) has launched PRUMapan, a life insurance product.

This traditional life insurance product offers a savings plan benefit designed to help Millennials and Gen Z plan their long-term finances affordably.

Through PRUMapan, Prudential Indonesia hopes to support young Indonesians in achieving a stable future while reducing the risk of falling into the ‘sandwich generation’ trap.

“At Prudential Indonesia, we start from the customer’s perspective, considering how a solution can truly be relevant to their dynamic lives, full of responsibilities, and filled with dreams,” said a spokesperson during a press conference on Wednesday (25/2/2026).

He added that, in response to the needs of today’s young people, PRUMapan is designed as a long-term financial planning solution that is easy to understand and relevant to the lifestyle of young people.

With premiums starting from IDR 200,000, flexible payments, guaranteed returns in the form of the Savings Benefit, and a simplified application process without medical examinations, PRUMapan makes it easy for young people to start planning now.

PRUMapan policyholders can also receive the Savings Benefit paid from the age of 55 to 75 or 20 years after the age of financial stability.

In addition, policyholders have the flexibility to access the Savings Benefit earlier, starting at age 45 or after 11 premium payments, whichever occurs later.

Policyholders also have the option of additional premiums at the beginning of the policy to increase the Savings Benefit, especially for policyholders aged 37 or older.

This product also provides flexible cash benefit options according to customer needs, in the form of the Savings Benefit being paid in equal amounts each year for 21 years or in larger amounts in the first year and equal amounts in subsequent years.

PRUMapan also has a simplified registration process, without health examinations for a maximum annual premium of IDR 250 million per policyholder.

Alternatively, prospective policyholders can answer several health questions for annual premiums of more than IDR 250 million up to IDR 500 million per policyholder.
