Prudential Indonesia Implements Several Strategies in Managing Investments

JAKARTA. PT Prudential Life Assurance (Prudential Indonesia) is implementing several strategies in managing investments this year. Chief Financial Officer of Prudential Indonesia, Adit Trivedi, stated that one of the strategies involves applying principles of prudence in portfolio management, for both equity, bonds, and other instruments, in accordance with the characteristics and objectives of each sub-fund. In addition, he said Prudential Indonesia is also focusing on asset quality, with placements in shares of companies that have sustainable businesses, solid financial performance, quality management, attractive valuations, and good liquidity. This is expected to provide added value for customers with aggressive risk profiles and long-term investment horizons. “The same applies to fixed-income sub-fund bond instruments, where factors such as interest rate trends, inflation, and budget deficits are primary concerns in management,” he explained to Kontan on Thursday (14/5/2026). Adit stated that intensive monitoring and coordination with investment managers are also conducted to ensure management runs according to strategy and is responsive to market dynamics. “Additionally, conducting regular reviews of global and domestic economic conditions, including interest rate policies and market sentiments. Thus, investment strategies can be adjusted in a measured manner without sacrificing long-term objectives,” he said. For information, based on the company’s financial report on its official website, Prudential Indonesia recorded total investments of Rp53.72 trillion as of March 2026. The placement in equity instruments dominates with a value of Rp26.18 trillion as of March 2026, followed by placements in Government Securities (SBN) of Rp14.03 trillion.
