Minister of Home Affairs Muhammad Tito Karnavian, who also serves as Head of the Post-Disaster Rehabilitation and Reconstruction (PRR) Task Force for Sumatra, has received an aid donation of five ambulance vehicles from the Indonesian Civil Servants’ Corps (Korpri).

The aid was handed over directly by Zudan Arif Fakrulloh, Head of the State Civil Service Agency (BKN) and Chairman of the Korpri National Management Board, at the Ministry of Home Affairs office.

Tito considered the assistance highly meaningful for communities affected by the disasters in Sumatra. He noted that some of the affected areas have passed the emergency response phase and entered a transition period towards rehabilitation and reconstruction. Various handling efforts have been carried out, including in the health sector.

“The health sector is among those handled most quickly by the team from the Health Minister — community health centres and hospitals are already operational. There are quite a large number affected, numbering in the hundreds,” Tito said in a written statement on Monday (13/7/2026).

He said the five ambulances will be handed over to disaster-affected areas, namely Aceh Tamiang Regency, East Aceh Regency, North Aceh Regency, Agam Regency and Central Tapanuli Regency. Without dismissing other regions, Tito said these areas were chosen because they still require serious attention, having been quite severely affected.

“We will distribute these, and they will certainly benefit the communities there,” he explained.

Meanwhile, Zudan Arif Fakrulloh explained that the distribution of the five ambulances would be handed over to the Head of the Sumatra Post-Disaster PRR Task Force, Muhammad Tito Karnavian. He said Korpri frequently provides various forms of aid to disaster-affected regions.

“The largest contribution is these five ambulances, which we hand over to the Minister as Task Force Chairman. Minister, we kindly ask you to receive them and pass them on to Aceh, West Sumatra and North Sumatra,” he said.
