PRR Task Force Oversees Additional IDR 144.67 Billion TKD in Solok
The central government, through the Task Force for the Acceleration of Post-Disaster Rehabilitation and Reconstruction (Satgas PRR) for Sumatra, is overseeing the utilisation of an additional IDR 144.67 billion in Transfer to Regions (TKD) funds for the 2026 fiscal year in Solok Regency, West Sumatra. This oversight aims to ensure the budget accelerates recovery in disaster-affected areas while providing direct benefits to the community.
Supervision was carried out by the Satgas PRR’s West Sumatra Regional Coordination Team through a coordination meeting with the Regent of Solok and local government officials, followed by field inspections of disaster-affected locations. The initiative seeks to ensure that rehabilitation and reconstruction efforts align with on-the-ground needs. Key programmes include infrastructure development, permanent housing (huntap), agricultural land rehabilitation, and the restoration of basic services such as education, health, and clean water supply.
Solok Regency has received the full additional TKD allocation of IDR 144.67 billion. Of this total, IDR 2 billion has been allocated as financial assistance to Central Aceh Regency. As of mid-July 2026, budget realisation stood at 17.35 percent, or approximately IDR 25.09 billion. The highest absorption has been in the economic sector, while infrastructure, education, and health sectors are being accelerated following the completion of budget adjustments and the revised Budget Implementation Document (DPA) at the end of June.
The Solok Regency Government has committed to expediting priority projects to increase absorption in the current quarter. These projects include the construction of roads, bridges, irrigation networks, permanent housing, and public service facilities for disaster-affected communities. In the housing sector, the location for 180 permanent homes has been designated according to the Rehabilitation and Reconstruction Master Plan (Renduk), with land approved by the National Land Agency (BPN), allowing construction to commence soon.
In the agricultural sector, the local government reported that approximately 80 hectares of rice fields suffered severe damage. Around 16 hectares have been cleared of sediment, while a proposal has been submitted to adjust the damage status of the remaining 64 hectares to qualify for rehabilitation assistance from the Ministry of Agriculture. Field inspections also revealed that the normalisation of the Saniang Baka River, stretching approximately 20 kilometres, and the Batang Muaro Bungai River, approximately 15 kilometres, remains an urgent need to mitigate flood and sedimentation risks. Efforts to restore basic services are ongoing, including the handling of seven drinking water supply systems (SPAM), the rehabilitation of eight affected schools, and the acceleration of public infrastructure recovery.
The Satgas PRR is facilitating coordination with the Ministry of Public Works and the BBWS V to expedite river normalisation and embankment reinforcement, as well as with the Ministry of Agriculture to accelerate the handling of affected agricultural land.
