Provincial Secretary Invites MSMEs and Investors to Actively Participate in the SINERGI Kaltara Ecosystem
The Provincial Government of North Kalimantan (Pemprov Kaltara) is urging micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs) and investors to actively participate in the SINERGI Kaltara ecosystem. The statement was made by North Kalimantan Provincial Secretary Denny Harianto following the launch of SINERGI Kaltara, a strategic digital system that serves as a connecting instrument between local MSMEs and the operational needs of industrial zones. “We invite all investors and area developers to open up collaborative spaces with Kaltara’s MSMEs. Through SINERGI Kaltara, the government is ready to bridge industrial needs with the capabilities of local business actors in a more measurable and professional manner,” said Provincial Secretary Denny. The launch represents a concrete step by the provincial government to ensure local businesses become a primary part of the industrial supply chain, particularly in the Tanah Kuning–Mangkupadi Industrial Zone, which spans approximately 10,100 hectares. The local government is now taking a more active role by directly approaching area managers and investors to map out industrial needs that can be fulfilled by local MSMEs. The conventional approach of waiting for investors to seek out regional potential has been changed to a proactive one. “We are reversing the pattern. The government goes to the investor and asks what the industrial zone needs. Our job is to prepare MSMEs to meet those needs through an integrated system,” he said. SINERGI Kaltara now operates as a single platform that matches the supply of MSME products and services with the demand from large companies in the industrial zone. Within this system, product standardisation, technical specifications, business legality, and price transparency are managed in a measured way. To strengthen implementation, the provincial government is also preparing a Governor Regulation and a Governor Decree as a legal framework for partnerships between MSMEs and industries. Additionally, the government has formed a special forum to assist MSMEs with business licensing, product quality improvement, and packaging standardisation to meet industrial zone requirements. Denny explained that MSMEs that have joined and passed verification in the system will receive recognition as partners that meet industrial standards and have more secure market opportunities. “For MSMEs, this is a great opportunity to upgrade. For investors, it provides certainty of a local supply that is faster, more efficient, and meets standards. We want this relationship to be mutually beneficial,” he said. SINERGI Kaltara is also projected to become a gateway for local products to enter international markets as industrial and export activities in North Kalimantan grow. The provincial government is optimistic that this system integration will accelerate regional economic turnover, strengthen MSME competitiveness, and improve public welfare more evenly. Through technical agencies acting as the leading sector, the government is currently intensifying outreach to attract potential MSMEs that have not yet joined the development ecosystem. “We invite all MSMEs to join SINERGI Kaltara. Let’s build a strong business ecosystem together with the government, investors, and area developers for the economic progress of Kaltara,” Denny concluded.
