Eid al-Fitr serves as a momentum to return to values of goodness, strengthen social bonds, and fortify the family as the foundation for birthing a healthy, quality, and capable Indonesian generation. From the family emerges a healthy, quality, and competitive generation to realise Indonesia’s Golden 2045. “Lebaran is a momentum to unite the eight family functions (religious, socio-cultural, love and affection, protection, reproduction, socialisation and education, economic, and environmental development). Therefore, during this mudik, we must make the family happy,” said the Minister for Population and Family Development/Head of the National Population and Family Planning Agency (Mendukbangga/Head of BKKBN) Wihaji in his statement on Sunday (22/3). Besides aiming to make families happy, the Ministry of Population and Family Development/BKKBN is also striving to strengthen families during Eid al-Fitr 1447 Hijriah by organising 69 mudik posts spread across 31 provinces throughout Indonesia. In these posts, families undertaking mudik to and from their hometowns can receive services such as family counselling, free health examinations, reproductive health counselling, family planning services or contraception, and information related to the family development, population, and family planning programmes (Bangga Kencana programme). “So these posts are part of the services from the Ministry of Population and Family Development/BKKBN at various points, such as in Java, Sumatra, Kalimantan, and Sulawesi,” he said. Wihaji explained about the 2026 Bangga Kencana Mudik Posts with the theme Building the Family, Building the Nation on a separate occasion ahead of the holiday at the Ministry of Population and Family Development/BKKBN office. During the return flow of the 2026 Lebaran mudik, the Bangga Kencana Mudik Posts will still operate from 25 to 27 March 2026 with a commitment to strengthen families through Bangga Kencana programme services.
