Protests in Gambir and Senayan Today: Residents Urged to Avoid Potential Afternoon Traffic Jams

JAKARTA – Two protest actions will take place in Central Jakarta on Tuesday (21/4/2026) afternoon.

The Head of Public Relations for the Metro Jakarta Central Police Resort, Iptu Erlyn Sumantri, stated that the first demonstration will occur at 1:00 PM WIB in the southern area of Monas and Jalan Medan Merdeka Selatan, Gambir.

Meanwhile, the second demonstration is also scheduled for 1:00 PM WIB in front of the DPR/MPR RI building, Senayan, by members of the Aliansi Rakyat Menggugat (ARM).

Traffic diversions will be applied situationally at the protest locations, taking into account the number of participants on the ground.

“Residents can seek other alternative routes during the protest,” said Erlyn.
