JAKARTA, KOMPAS.com - The public expression of aspirations at the DPR/MPR RI complex in Senayan, Central Jakarta, on Thursday (16/4/2026), took place in an orderly manner. However, dense traffic flow still occurred on several roads around the location, especially during rush hour.

This situation was reported by the Head of Operations of Ditlantas Polda Metro Jaya, Kompol Robby Hefados. He stated that overall, traffic remains under control and no diversions are necessary yet.

“Today, the conditions are quite smooth and have returned to the public’s daily routine. This Thursday also marks the peak of activities because on Friday, work from home (WFH) will be implemented by the DKI Jakarta Provincial Government,” Robby told Kompas.com on Thursday (16/4/2026).

“The expression of aspirations around the DPR proceeded smoothly and orderly,” he said.

Nevertheless, Robby acknowledged slowdowns in traffic at several points, particularly on routes heading towards Slipi from the directions of Ladogi and Semanggi.

“Traffic flow towards Slipi can still be navigated, although there are slowdowns. We continue to strive to keep traffic moving,” he said.

To date, the police have not implemented any traffic diversions and are still focusing on on-site management.

“Up to now, no traffic diversions have been carried out. We are still managing to ensure the flow proceeds as smoothly as possible,” he stated.

To avoid congestion around the DPR/MPR, drivers are advised to take the following alternative routes:
