Protest at Bundaran HI Disperses, Roads Reopen

A demonstration near the Selamat Datang Monument at Bundaran HI in Central Jakarta has dispersed. All roads in the area have reopened.

Detikcom observed at the scene on Wednesday (28 October 2026) that the road from Thamrin to Jalan Jenderal Sudirman, and the route in the opposite direction, had reopened. Access from Jalan Imam Bonjol and Kebon Kacang had also reopened.

However, TransJakarta buses were not yet visible passing through the area. Bundaran HI bus stop also appeared to be empty of passengers.

Meanwhile, several PPSU municipal public-service workers were seen clearing rubbish from the area, including around the Selamat Datang Monument.

Motorcycles and cars were moving normally. Police officers remained on standby at the site.

Some police officers also patrolled the area, checking the entire site to ensure the situation remained under control.
