Protecting delinquent tycoons

From Rakyat Merdeka

The "release and discharge" policy for delinquent tycoons, which has hurt the people's sense of justice, has proved incapable of making the corruptors atone for their sins and settle their obligations.

Only a few have been obedient, and they deserve the government's praise. However, most have pretended not to be aware of their obligations.

Enough is enough. The government has shown enough patience and it is now high time for it to take tough action against those debtors who have hurt the public's sense of justice.

Therefore, it is time to wage war against corruption and corruptors. We, from the Indonesian Legal Aid and Human Rights Association (PBHI), would like to make some points: * PBHI demands that all of the corruptors be detained and legal proceedings be brought against them. By adopting a lenient stance the government has simply fueled suspicion that it is actively involved in the circle of corruption. * PBHI demands that the government immediately confiscate all the wealth of delinquent debtors.

People are tired of having to shoulder the debtors' debts. If these actions are carried out based on sufficient evidence, we will fully support the government's actions and declare that they are neither against the law nor violating human rights, but promoting law enforcement and the upholding of human rights. The case of Hendra Raharja has proved the government's foolishness. * PBHI demands that all law enforcers do their job by the book before the situation deteriorates. If this cannot be realized, the formulation of severing generations may be a suitable solution and hopefully it will happen. what is this supposed to mean?
