The Civil Service Police Unit (Satpol PP) raided premises operating as prostitution fronts disguised as massage parlours in Sukaraja and Cibinong, Bogor Regency. Five women and four male clients were detained.

“A total of nine people were detained. The breakdown is five women suspected of being sex workers and four men, secured from two locations in Cibinong and Sukaraja,” said Rhama Kodara, Head of Public Order at Bogor Regency’s Satpol PP, speaking to reporters on Wednesday (18/2/2026).

Rhama explained that the raids were carried out in response to community complaints regarding the proliferation of prostitution ahead of Ramadan. The first massage parlour raided was located in Cibinong. At that location, officers together with Garrison personnel detained three women suspected of involvement in prostitution and four male clients.

“At the first location, officers visited a massage parlour being used for online prostitution activities through the MiChat application in the Harapan Jaya sub-district. At that location, three women suspected of being sex workers and four men suspected of being clients were detained,” said Rhama.

The joint task force then raided a massage parlour in Cimandala Village, Sukaraja Sub-district, which was suspected of being routinely used for prostitution activities via the MiChat application. At this location, two women suspected of involvement in prostitution were detained.

“In Cimandala Village, officers successfully detained two women suspected of being sex workers, who were immediately taken to the Social Affairs Office for further processing,” said Rhama.

The nine individuals caught in the raids are now being held at the Social Affairs Office for further documentation. Subsequently, four of the women detained will be transferred to a rehabilitation centre in Sukabumi, West Java.

“Today’s operation targeted locations identified from community complaints in Cibinong and Sukaraja sub-districts that were flagged as massage parlours and prostitution venues,” said Rhama.

“The five women and four men have been handed over to the Bogor Regency Social Affairs Office for further processing. Following the Social Affairs Office’s assessment of the five women, four will be sent to the Sukabumi rehabilitation centre,” he added.
