We the residents of Boker area, East Jakarta, are very anxious
to know when the East Jakarta mayor, Sudarsono, plans to close
the local brothel once and for all. The closure of the brothel
was originally scheduled for Nov. 1.

We enthusiastically welcome the plan to put an end to this
disturbing practice, which we consider particularly unhealthy for
the development of our children.

Unfortunately, to our great disappointment, we just found out
that the recent plan to close the brothel has been canceled. We
can only hope that their sinful deeds will someday be abolished.
