Prospective Managers of 'Red and White' Cooperatives Required to Undergo Military Training
Prospective managers of the ‘Red and White’ Village Cooperatives (Koperasi Merah Putih) who have passed the selection process are required to attend basic military training for the reserve component on Sunday, 14 June 2026. This information was published on the website of the National Selection Committee for Human Resources Procurement.
The Head of the Defence Information Bureau at the Ministry of Defence’s Secretariat General, Brigadier General TNI Rico Ricardo Sirait, stated that he would be enquiring about the educational preparations with the National Reserve Board (Bacadnas) at the Ministry of Defence. “I will ask Bacadnas tomorrow,” he said when contacted on Sunday, 14 June 2026.
During a coordination meeting for the announcement of the selection results in Jakarta on Wednesday, 10 June 2026, Vice Minister of Defence Donny Ermawan stated that the Ministry of Defence is ready to conduct the basic military training for successful candidates. “With the support of 67 educational units spread from Aceh to Papua,” read a Ministry of Defence press release. He expressed hope that the programme would produce excellent, character-driven human resources ready to support national development.
The National Selection Committee’s website outlines a 13-point declaration letter which must be signed by successful candidates. One of the points requires them to be willing to participate in the Basic Military Training for the Reserve Component and Managerial and Competency Training.
Prospective managers are required to report to their respective educational units on Sunday, 14 June 2026, for registration and training preparation. Candidates who fail to register according to the specified schedule and location will be considered to have withdrawn and will not be allowed to participate. Training placements have been finalised by the selection committee based on organisational needs and capacity, and changes to the assigned location are not permitted. Participants must follow all stages of the training until its conclusion.
