Prospective Hajj Pilgrims from South Sumatra to Begin Entering Dormitories on 21 April 2026
The South Sumatra Regional Office of the Ministry of Hajj and Umrah (Kemenag) has scheduled prospective Hajj pilgrims to begin entering the Hajj dormitory on 21 April 2026. “Through the Palembang Embarkation in 2026, we will depart 6,589 prospective Hajj pilgrims from South Sumatra Province and Bangka Belitung (Babel). One day before departure, the pilgrims are required to enter the Hajj dormitory,” said Acting Head of the South Sumatra Kemenag and Umrah Regional Office, Arkan Nurwahidin, in Palembang on Monday (30/3/2026). He explained that the departure of the first flight group (kloter) of prospective Hajj pilgrims via the Sultan Mahmud Badaruddin (SMB) II International Airport Embarkation in Palembang is scheduled for 22 April 2026. The prospective Hajj pilgrims from South Sumatra and Babel will be divided into 16 flight groups, departing in stages until May 2026. Ahead of serving the departure of thousands of prospective Hajj pilgrims from the two provinces, his side continues to carry out various maximum preparations.
