Karawang (ANTARA) - The Hajj and Umrah Ministry Office of Karawang Regency, West Java, has stated that prospective Hajj pilgrims from Karawang departing for the Holy Land this year will be divided into five embarkation groups (kloter). The Head of the Karawang Hajj and Umrah Ministry Office, Rojak, in Karawang on Tuesday, said that for this Hajj season, the number of prospective pilgrims from Karawang to be sent off reaches 1,783 people. “The inaugural departure is scheduled for Friday (24/4) from Kloter 4, which will be farewelled at the Karawang Islamic Centre Complex,” he said. For this Hajj season, the prospective pilgrims from Karawang are divided into five kloters. Kloter 4 is the largest group of prospective pilgrims, reaching 439 people consisting of 201 men and 238 women. Then Kloter 9, which will be sent off on Friday, 1 May 2026.
