Prospective Hajj Pilgrims Appreciate Facilities and Services in Makkah
Makkah (ANTARA) - Indonesian prospective Hajj pilgrims appreciate the completeness of facilities and services in Makkah, which they deem very helpful for comfort and the smooth performance of worship while in the Holy Land. One facility that pilgrims feel the most benefit from is the washing machine. Lilik Tryas Handarto, a prospective Hajj pilgrim from embarkation JKB 02 Banten, admitted that the washing machine facility dispels pilgrims’ concerns regarding daily clothing cleanliness. Lilik considers the presence of the free laundry facility crucial, given that pilgrims will reside for quite a long time in Makkah. Washing machine facilities are available in all hotels for prospective Hajj pilgrims provided by the Ministry of Hajj and Umrah (Kemenhaj). Besides cleanliness facilities, Lilik also highlighted the availability of spacious and representative hotel prayer rooms. These prayer rooms have separate areas for male and female pilgrims, and can accommodate one flight group (kloter) with a capacity of 350 to 400 people. Regarding catering services, pilgrims are satisfied with the quality of food that is friendly to the Nusantara palate. The organisers provide complete meal packages, including side dishes, fruit, and milk. The Head of the Group (Karom) JKB 03 Banten, Muhammad Tohir, also praised the timeliness of food distribution, especially the welcome meal service provided upon the arrival of prospective Hajj pilgrims after a long journey from Madinah. “The welcome food was given at night. In the morning, the food arrives on time. Delicious, tasty. Alhamdulillah,” said Tohir before performing the obligatory Umrah. The Aziziyah area where the Al-Hidayah Tower stands falls under the administration of sector 10, which is occupied by pilgrims from the Banten and Padang embarkation points. That sector has a special feature, as it is centred in one hotel with 10 towers that can accommodate a total of 21,000 prospective Hajj pilgrims from 57 kloters.
