Prosecutors Reveal Heru Anggara's First Movements After Murdering Politician's Child
New details emerged in the trial of defendant Heru Anggara in the murder case of MAH (9), the child of Cilegon PKS politician Maman Suherman. Prosecutors revealed Heru’s movements after killing the victim.
In their indictment, prosecutors stated that after murdering MAH, Heru Anggara hid and disposed of the items used in the killing.
The first place he visited after the murder was the area around the Balung cemetery.
“The defendant left the house and went to a prayer room near the Balung cemetery. The defendant then entered the prayer room’s bathroom to wash gloves, a Ying Guns brand stainless steel knife, a jacket, and trousers,” the public prosecutor said in the indictment, quoted on Thursday (20/8/2026).
Not only that, the perpetrator also went to a motorcycle seat upholsterer in the Tegalcabel area, Citangkil, Cilegon City.
“(The defendant) immediately replaced the leather cover of his motorcycle seat,” the prosecutor said.
After that, the defendant went to a rubbish bin next to Blok F Market, also known as Kelapa Market, in Cilegon City, to dispose of the jacket, trousers, helmet, mask, bag, duct tape, and shoes he had worn during the incident.
“After that, the defendant then returned to his home at Perum Bumi Rakata Asri, Green Valley Cluster,” the prosecutor said.
Heru Charged with Murder
Prosecutors from the Cilegon District Attorney’s Office read the indictment at the Serang District Court on Wednesday (19/8/2026). In the indictment, Heru is accused of committing the crime on 16 December 2025.
“Murder that is followed, accompanied, or preceded by another criminal act committed with the intention of preparing for or facilitating its execution, or of escaping oneself or other participants from punishment if caught in the act, or of ensuring control of goods obtained unlawfully,” the prosecutor said while reading the indictment.
As a result of his actions, the defendant is charged under Article 458 paragraph (3) or paragraph (1) of Law Number 1 of 2023 concerning the Criminal Code in conjunction with Law Number 1 of 2026 concerning Penal Adjustments.
The defendant is also charged with violating Article 80 paragraph (3) in conjunction with Article 76C of Law Number 17 of 2016 concerning the Stipulation of Government Regulation in Lieu of Law Number 1 of 2016 on the Second Amendment to Law Number 23 of 2002 concerning Child Protection into Law, in conjunction with Law Number 35 of 2014, in conjunction with Law Number 1 of 2026 concerning Penal Adjustments.
