Jakarta (ANTARA) - The Public Prosecutor has re-submitted the case file of Tifauzia Tyassuma, known as Doctor Tifa, to the East Jakarta District Court over alleged defamation relating to claims about the authenticity of the diploma of Indonesia’s 7th President, Joko Widodo (Jokowi).

“The case in the name of defendant Tifauzia Tyassuma was re-submitted to the East Jakarta District Court on 28 July 2026,” said East Jakarta District Court spokesperson Immanuel Tarigan when contacted in Jakarta on Wednesday.

The Doctor Tifa case is now registered again at the East Jakarta District Court under case number 354/Pid.B/2026/PN Jkt Tim.

The re-filing was carried out after the previous panel of judges granted an exception, or objection, filed by Tifauzia’s legal counsel team against the prosecutor’s indictment.

With the re-submission, Tifauzia’s case will again be examined by a panel of judges at the East Jakarta District Court.

The panel of judges handling the case is chaired by Christina Endarwati, with members Rudi Rafli Siregar and Mathilda Chrystina Katarina.

“Regarding yesterday’s interim ruling, the Public Prosecutor did not file a challenge, but instead amended the indictment and re-submitted it,” Immanuel explained.

Earlier, the panel of judges at the East Jakarta District Court granted the objection (exception) filed by the defendant in the case of alleged slander and defamation concerning the authenticity of the diploma of Indonesia’s 7th President Joko Widodo, Tifauzia Tyassuma, or Doctor Tifa.

“Adjudicating, the legal team’s petition is granted and the annulment of the Public Prosecutor’s indictment is granted. Therefore, the substance of the other objections need not be considered,” said Presiding Judge Christina Endarwati at the interim ruling hearing at the East Jakarta District Court on Thursday (23 July).

In addition, the panel of judges also ordered that the case file, indictment and evidence be returned to the public prosecutor. All costs in the case are to be borne by the state.
