JAKARTA, KOMPAS.com - The Public Prosecutors (JPU) have requested that the panel of judges declare Irawan Prakoso, a relative of Mohamad Riza Chalid, in violation of Article 291 of the new Criminal Code for providing false testimony in court.

The JPU made this request after Irawan was examined as a witness in the continuation of the case file concerning Hanung Budya Yuktyanta, Director of Marketing and Trading at PT Pertamina (Persero) from April 2012 to 2014, and former VP of Supply and Distribution at PT Pertamina (Persero), Alfian Nasution.

“And through this opportunity, I request or petition the Panel of Judges to designate Mr Irawan Prakoso or other parties who do not provide truthful statements under the provisions of Article 291 of the Criminal Code for giving false testimony, with a criminal penalty of 7 years,” stated Prosecutor Triyana Setia Putra during the hearing at the Jakarta Corruption Court on Tuesday (31/3/2026).

In response to this request, the panel of judges has not yet determined its stance.

This is because the statements from Alfian and Hanung were given when they were witnesses for other defendants.

Meanwhile, Irawan was examined today for the case involving Hanung and Alfian, who are seated as defendants.

Hanung and Alfian have not yet been examined as crown witnesses or as defendants for the case file in their names.

“The request from the public prosecutor will be considered later. Essentially, that’s it, and it is noted in the minutes. Because Mr Alfian and Mr Hanung are here as defendants,” said the Chief Judge of the Panel, Adek Nurhadi.

He denied ever meeting Hanung or Alfian to influence them so that Kerry’s fuel terminal would be leased by Pertamina.

In the hearing on Monday (20/10/2025), Hanung Budya Yuktyanta, Director of Marketing and Trading at PT Pertamina in 2014, provided testimony in court.

Hanung, who is now a defendant in a separate case file, admitted to feeling pressured by Mohamad Riza Chalid’s side if he did not sign the fuel terminal agreement.

This was stated in Hanung’s examination record (BAP) read by the JPU.

“If I do not sign the OE or HTS approval, the direct appointment of the winner, namely PT Oiltanking Merak, and the signing of the fuel receiving, storage, and delivery service agreement with PT Oiltanking Merak, I will be removed due to pressure from Mohamad Riza Chalid,” said Prosecutor Triyana Setia Putra during the hearing at the Corruption Court at the Central Jakarta District Court on Monday (20/10/2025).
