Prosecutors Raid BKAD and Disperindag Offices in Sabu Raijua, Seize 34 Documents

Prosecutors from the Sabu Raijua District Prosecutor’s Office (Kejari) in East Nusa Tenggara Province (NTT) carried out searches at the offices of the Regional Finance and Assets Agency (BKAD) and the Industry and Trade Office (Disperindag) in Sabu Raijua Regency. The searches relate to a criminal corruption case involving the provision of business capital in 2017.

The Head of the Sabu Raijua Prosecutor’s Office, Corneles GP Heydemans, through the Head of the Special Crimes Section (Kasi Pidsus) Hendrik Tiip, revealed that 34 documents were seized by the Kupang Prosecutor’s Office during the searches.

“From the search results, the investigators secured 34 documents related to the corruption crime of providing regional government business capital to CV. MZ, which occurred in 2017, and the investigators have also carried out the seizure of the said documents,” Hendrik stated in a release received by detikBali on Monday (30/3/2026).

The searches conducted by the Sabu Raijua District Prosecutor’s Office investigators were based on the search warrant from the Kupang Corruption Court Number 4/Pid.Sus_Tpk-GLD/03/2026 dated 23 March 2026 and the Search Order from the Head of the Sabu Raijua District Prosecutor’s Office Number: Print-172/N.3.26/Fd.2/03/2026 dated 27 March 2026.

The search at the Regional Finance and Assets Agency office took place from 11:00 WITA to 15:00 WITA. Subsequently, the search at the Industry and Trade Office was from 15:15 to 16:50 WITA.

Hendrik emphasised that the investigators will soon apply for a seizure permit from the Corruption Court for the secured documents. “The investigators will conduct further examination of the obtained documents with related witnesses to clarify the criminal act,” explained the former Head of Intelligence Section at the North Central Timor District Prosecutor’s Office.

“We are committed to completing the investigation of this case promptly,” Hendrik concluded.
