The Head of Public Relations for the Central Java High Prosecutor’s Office, Arfan Triono, has revealed that his office is currently following up on an investigation into an alleged corruption case at the National Nutrition Agency (BGN). District prosecutor’s offices across various regions in Central Java are currently collecting data and gathering information from every nutrition service fulfilment unit (SPPG), including those belonging to the Indonesian National Police (Polri).

“What has been carried out by the district prosecutor’s offices throughout Central Java is executing a central command to conduct on-the-spot data and information collection at SPPG locations. Not just the Polri’s SPPG, but all SPPGs,” Arfan said when contacted on Thursday (9/7/2026).

He acknowledged that the data collection and information gathering from all SPPGs in Central Java is related to the alleged corruption case at the BGN. “This is a consequence of the series of events at the central BGN. We must ensure this does not happen in the regions as well,” he stated.

Arfan denied that the data collection on SPPGs, including the Polri’s SPPG in Central Java, was related to a series of searches conducted by the Police’s Corruption Eradication Corps (Kortas Tipikor) and the Metro Jaya Regional Police’s Special Criminal Investigation Directorate. Those searches also implicated the name of the Junior Attorney General for Special Crimes at the Attorney General’s Office, Febrie Adriansyah.

“The activity (SPPG data collection) was carried out before that. That is why I said earlier, this is a consequence of the series of events at the central BGN, and it has nothing to do with what happened yesterday (the searches by the Police’s Kortas Tipikor and the Metro Jaya Regional Police’s Special Criminal Investigation Directorate),” Arfan said.

He also denied that the district prosecutor’s offices in Central Java had issued summons for examination to Polri personnel regarding the SPPG data collection. “To date, we have not made any summons or conducted any examinations. What we are doing is data collection, gathering information, on the spot,” he stated.
