The West Nusa Tenggara (NTB) High Prosecutor’s Office (Kejati) is investigating allegations of gratuity and money laundering offences (TPPU) implicating Subhan, the former head of the National Land Agency (BPN) in Sumbawa and Central Lombok. Prosecutors are currently in Sumbawa to conduct the inquiry.

“My team is in Sumbawa. The team is out in the field,” stated the Assistant Special Prosecutor (Aspidsus) of Kejati NTB, Muh Zulkifli Said, on Wednesday (6/5/2026).

However, Zulkifli did not provide details on the team’s objectives in Sumbawa. He only explained that the activities are connected to the ongoing investigation process.

“All activities related to the investigation. Basically, all investigation activities. They are being carried out,” Zulkifli clarified.

Zulkifli revealed that Kejati NTB is involving the Financial Transaction Reports and Analysis Center (PPATK) in the probe into the gratuity and TPPU allegations against Subhan. The findings from the tracing will be submitted to PPATK.

As is known, Subhan served as head of BPN Sumbawa from 2022-2023 and Central Lombok from 2023-2025. Subhan is currently a defendant in the corruption case involving the purchase of 70 hectares of land used for the MXGP Samota Circuit in Sumbawa, alongside Pung Saifullah Zulkarnaen and Muhammad Jan.

The Sumbawa Regency Government (Pemkab) previously purchased the 70-hectare land from former East Lombok Regent, Ali Bin Dachlan, for Rp52 billion. Investigators found state losses in the land purchase process amounting to Rp6.7 billion. Those state losses have been returned to Kejati NTB by Ali BD, who received the payment.

During that land acquisition, Subhan served as head of BPN Sumbawa and acted as the chairman of the land acquisition implementation team. Meanwhile, Pung Saifullah Zulkarnaen and Muhammad Jan were part of the appraisal team from the Public Appraiser Services Office (KJPP).
